Best program to create the highest quality slide show on DVD

Any suggestions as to the best program to create the highest quality slide shows on DVD.

You could try Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7. Its not as expensive as Adobe and from what I've read the learning curve is not as steep. I've got some excellent results from it.

Pinnacle Studio is pretty cheap and handles stills and digital video. I have used Premiere and it makes PS seem like a walk in the park to use. I now use Studio.

If you've got Adobe Premier Pro or Ulead MediaStudio Pro, they're great for doing slide shows, but if you don't, they're a bit of overkill if all you want to do are slideshows.

You might want to take a look at Uleads DVD PictureShow or, if you want to do some fancy transitions, the Ulead VideoStudio.

I know there are a couple of other sub-$100 products that'll do what you want if you look around.

Roxio's Easy DVD Creator (I think it's now called Roxio Easy Media Creator) will do what you are asking with a *very* small learning curve. It's as simple as point and click. Nifty transitions, menus,etc. Then just click and burn to DVD. The most compatible format is still DVD-R, but hopefully that will change for the better as the old players die and are replaced. If you have a DVD+R burner, you might run into some problems with certain clients or friends who have older players that can't recognize the media. Same with SVCD.

note: If you want to author DVD video, you'll probably want a more sophistocated program as this one gives good, professional looking results, but canned.
