Thanks for the kind words. I can't post pictures at the present time, so I'll have to use the 1,000 words :wink:
You are right on the mark with the concept. I used an even lighter chain, with a bent 'S' link (sorry, I can't remember the name at the minute), and I connected it to the eye bolt with an 'S' hook. I used a collar similar to yours with a rubber pad to snuggle up to the camera body. It has a female thread to obviate the nut.
Glad to see someone else likes the idea. I can't take credit for the idea, 'cause I got it from a photo magazine over 20 years ago. Good luck with it. :)
