I like and use Breeze's Downloader to pull pictures off of my G1 into Windows XP Pro. I also have Photoshop 6. Here is the issue..
When I plug my camera into the USB and turn the knob to '~' or connect, Photoshop opens and wants to download the pictures.
Question: Is there a setting that would prevent PS from opening every time I plug the camera into the computer? I prefer to use Downloader.
TIA
Ben

What's happening is Photoshop is already registered for camera events and so it starts up when the the camera is connected. You can either unselect Photoshop to prevent this happening or add Downloader to the list of applications that receive "camera detected" events.
To add Downloader to the list simply run it and select "Register for camera events" from the events menu - you will need administrator privileges to do this on XP. Then next time you connect the camera XP will display a dialog asking you which application should receive the event. If only one app is registered for the event it is launched automatically.
To remove Photoshop from the list of apps connect your camera to the USB, go to Control Panel and select "Scanners and Cameras". You should see an entry for your camera, right click on it and select properties. Click on the "Events" tab and you will see a list of applications which can receive camera events. Then uncheck the entry for Photoshop and any other apps you want to disable.
