I'm pretty certain about this one... Common Grass Blue (Zizina labradus). It's a pretty common sight wherever ther is clover growing (which is pretty much everywhere!) Unfortunately I stuffed up the composition and cut out part of the wing and legs, so I just went for a crop. I hope it's sharp enough for the critics

Dan, I'm trying to figure out the problem, I can't view any of your images (I see red x with file name and size) in any of your threads, while I have no problems with others.
Is there anything special about the way you post your shots?

I post directly into the forum rather than link to an external site (I'm sure Pekka hates me for it too ;) )I had the same issue when I first began using this site. There's a thread about it somewhere, but what you need to do is load http://photography-on-the.net/forum leaving out the "www". I don't know why, but it seems to work. Hope it helps...

plenty sharp enough and well exposed.

Thanks Racketman... on close inspection it looks like I centred focus on the wings rather than the head. The eye just appears to have caught the tail end of the DOF.

Ah well, I'm happy with it as is :)

Hiya Dan,

Excellent shot, crop's good also, musta missed this earlier on, It's been a bit manic here as my stepson Mike is unwell & I've had to get him to Hospital twice in the last 18Hrs. bloody NHS. you can't get a Doc to call at your home here anymore, first you call ' Docs on Call ' then have to drive 18 Miles to the Hospital fart about waitin for Hrs bla bla bla.

Cheers for now
Mark

Oh that's no good Mark. Hope he gets well soon. Our public health system is supposed to be one of the better ones... aparrently. I still don't know of any doctors who would make house calls unless someone is house-bound and in critical condition.

Thanks for the kind words Mark and Brian :)

I showed some of my recent posts to my parents and my sister who were quite taken by them. I have to go get prints done now! LOL
