I've been using ZoomBrowser to download images onto a PC. No problem there.
I just installed ImageBrowser on my Mac (OS X 10.3.2), but find that the software doesn't detect any images from a CF card reader or even when trying to download directly from my camera.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled the software to see if that would do anything. No luck.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Does my version of OS X not work with ImageBrowser?

Hi, Rob
I'm using a 10D. It came with FVU 1.2.1 & IB 3.0.1.
When I open IB and then hook up my card reader, nothing happens. (On my PC, the download window automatically opens.)
When I click on Canon Camera, both the Camera Window and the Communications Settings windows opens. The CS window is set to USB port, but it doesn't recognize any camera. The only option is to click on cancel. When I do this, I get the message, "Connection to Camera Failed".
I noticed that on the side bar sometimes EOS Digital will appear. When I click on DCIM, the Camera Window opens and it seems to indicate that it sees some images (I shoot all Raw), but instead of the image itself being there, only a "?" appears.
If I hook up my camera directly to the computer instead of using the card reader, the same thing happens. The images are OK. I can review them in the camera, and I have downloaded them to my PC. Just doesn't work on the Mac for some reason.
Thanks for your help.

I think I found what the problem is: a faulty USB port.
I tried a different USB port and images came up in Camera Window. I was then able to download them.

Just wondering Curt. Was the USB port the one on the key board?

curt,
just a note: mac image browser has some known bugs, especially when dealing with raw files. i've seen it happen as have many other users.
cheers,

Rob,
Yes, I was using the left keyboard port. I found that if I changed the mouse from the right to the left port, the mouse would not work. But the left port works if I connect my printer. What's up with that??
SV,
That's interesting about bugs. Any word if Canon is working to fix them? BTW, is there any alternative software to download raw images?

Im having great success with Photoshop CS, but that will set you back a few dollars, and Ive been using Photoshop for about 10 years now so Im used to the feel of it.
Just reread your post and added this, for downloading them to my mac I use the Sandisk firewire card reader, and just picked up a Sandisk Pcmcia card reader for my laptop, they both show up as a hard drive when connected and I just transfer the images on the card to a raw file folder to be worked on.
