Are CombineZ and CombineZM the same deal? I just set myself up with a good macro lense, and wanted to try some image stacking, so I downloaded CombineZM, but can't figure it out.
Wrong software or just keep playing with it?
Thanks.

Not sure, someone else mentioned it, I have downloaded it but haven't played with it yet...

I use Combine Z - you seem to have to store it in the same folder as the fftw3.dll files that you are instructed to download.
Once up and running click on file, new then open the images you want to stack. Then click macro, do stack and if ok save image.
I find I cant load full sized jpegs so I resize to 1600 pixel width before loading to CombineZ.
Once you have your stacked image saved you will need to crop out the edges in Photoshop as they are usually weird.
There's obviously a lot more to it but this is as far as I have got.

Weird round the edges? CombineZ7 seems to have an 8 megapixel limit, any file larger than that comes out "weird" Combinez Movie doesn't seem to have that limit. Guess you don't read all the posts on here then racketman ;)

No I missed out on that. so in the last 5 mins I have downloaded CombineZ Movie (which I had assumed was aimed at video!) and tested it. Pleased to report it loaded up 2 full sized jpegs. Picture isnt great as I only did two and evidently neither shot got the middle area fully in focus. Otherwise works fine thanks.

So the upshot is that CombineZ Movie will do the image stacking?
Thanks for the help.

Does Combine in either form process raw files?

Pretty certain it does not take RAW files.
