I have taken some RAW files on my Canon S50 and did not check and notice that my ISO was set to 400 and now all my pic's are too grainy. Is there a way of chaning the ISO in an application (Canon File View Utility)?
Thanks for any help in advance:)

Nope,...
the ISO setting affects the sensitivity of the CMOS/CCD sensor to light at the time the photo is taken,. it is an electrical change,. a physical one,. and once done it is done.. there is no turning back,. or altering it in software.

The only time you can change your ISO is BEFORE you trip the shutter. Since time travel is unrealistic (at this time anyway) your best bet is to remove the noise or live with it and learn from the experience (never leave camera settings off the norm after deviating them...)
To remove the noise, there may be a noise reduction function in your graphic editor, or you may end up purchasing one of the many programs out there that clean up the image. Whatever method, work only on a copy of the original.

I figured that this might be the case:( I will definetly not do it again! At the moment I am using the software that came with the camera (File Viewer Utility), I can't see a noise reduction option, can you recommend another?
Thanks guys for your help:) I am new to the whole digital camera thing past the Automatic setting and I am just getting to grips with it.

Yeah,... I've said THAT before too,. a number of times..

Are you using Photoshop? Elements?
There are several plug ins avaiable,. a free version of "Neat Image" that does not require photoshop, and plugins like "Grain Surgery" Kodaks "Digital Gem" etc..
....and you can find photoshop actions for free like "ISO Buster" I think it's called.

It's a whole new world of options,. the hard work and learning curve will definately pay off in the end
Welcome to the forum by the way
