#1 - It is unfortunate that the lighting is such. His eyes disappear in the shadows, which makes it a little disquieting to look at. Also, watch your depth of focus, his nose looks a little blurry. Does its need to be rotated two or three degrees clockwise? Other than that he looks like a cute critter. The big problem is the shadows, it makes me wonder is this a Stepford dog?

#2 - One problem I see here is that the sky is a little bland. Also there seems to be a lot of water. I wonder how the composition would have looked if you had knelt down a little more, and in doing so brought the bridge closer to the swan.

#3 - Is the head out of focus? Other than that, nice but generic. Swans are tough, FretNoMore has a nice one here http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=25203&highlight= Also on that page is one that he helped me with.

i looked at the other pictures and they gave me some good ideas. i think you are absolutely correct about the composition on #2, i just didn;t know how to fix it before. thanks for taking the time.
