I completed my first wedding using the 1Ds. Great camera. Focus and color is spot on every time. But, the 2,000 images shot yesterday required several 2 gig CF cards even as I use my laptop for uploads in order to reuse the cards. All in all, about 14 gig of storage required for this one wedding. I used my D60 and 10D as backups but the 1Ds was of course the primary camera. I always shoot in RAW mode so any exposure or color corrections are done on non-processed and full color depth images.
A few shots from the wedding:

Photos look great! :)
Hard drives and feild storage indeed!
How large is the averadge 1Ds raw file????
I can fill a 1 gig card with the 10D RAW files in no time (approx 150 images per GB )
But soon I will be working with the Mkii's larger files,...... and faster burst rate  so storage will be a problem soon...
I am supposed to be getting a Muvo,.. if they ever get around to making anymore,. I orered it about a month ago and still don't have it,. it will give me a 4 gig Microdrive.. that solve some of the issues the MkII causes,. I'll let you know how/if it works,.
for $200.00 for a 4 gig CF/Microdrive,. it is certainly a price that is hard to ignore.

Good luck getting that one inserted... (it's PCMCIA). Unless you're thinking about using a PCMCIA->CF adaptor, which even if it works I'm sure the battery drain will be awful.
