I'm working with Hue/Sat and Channel Mixer adjustment layers to find the sweet spot for this one. Being new to PP, I'm not sure what to aim for.
Here's the original if anyone wants to try (link code doesn't seem to be working): http:cabuhs.net/photo/evan_eyes_orig.jpg
Otherwise, just give me your suggestions. Thanks.

You've lost a good bit of detail in his face either from overexposure or your PP technique. The angle is also quite unflattering considering we're given a great shot up his nose.....at least is looks pretty clean ;)

Thanks. There isn't much detail in that smooth cheek, though. The shot was a rare one of a fast-moving two year old. I'm grateful I got that with my lethargic G3. I almost threw it out the window again.

Here's another try.

Second try is much better. Light lips give the image a better feel, in my non-professional opinion.
Also the slight variation in the eyes changes the image for the better in the second attmept. It could just be my monitor, but the second attempt doesn't seem to have the same "washed out" flat grey look of the first...I'd like a second opinion on that however.

I agree, the second is the better version of the two IMO :)
