Hello all,
I took this shot of New York-New York from my room at the MGM in Las Vegas last weekend. I hope you enjoy! :)

love NY. never forget the last time i went, the night is just breath taking.
The image isnt hat sharp, and the green light on the side looks like you just used motion blur with green??

Hey dreamer,
I hadn't really noticed the sharpness, but it's something I'll look at closer. No, there's no motion blur. The green light that you see is from giant emerald green lights that were pointed at the sides of the hotel. Green was everywhere! I kinda liked the effect, although it sounds like it didn't quite work for you. :)
Thanks for the comments!

Deva,
Nice shot.
The green looks like the shot may have been taken through glass, hence the green vertical "smear".
The image looks sharp to me dreamer, I can clearly see all the structure of the rollercoaster without any trouble. Your monitor OK ?
Cheers

I really like it. It looks clear to me. I like the green and figured it was some sort of lighting right off the bat. I'd love to go to Las Vegas sometime.

I thought that green was from the latent image on the card getting light struck! :D Never open your card door in bright light! Light can get in though the black plastic and boom, green fog. Simple room light is not strong enough to get through so always keep you're card door closed until you're inside, or in the shade.
Seriously, it is a funny fog, and it is a distraction. Could be from the glass..
Must be a fun ride! Cool picture.

Hey guys,
Thanks a lot for the critiques! Ian, you nailed it... this was shot from behind glass. Moreover, the green lights were pointed at the glass. Cinnamon, glad you like the shot. I don't know where you live, but if you are in the US, there are cheap flights to Vegas often, and during the off-season you can get rooms fairly cheap. Stopbath, actually it was the battery door that was open, not the card door. Intermittent power to the camera can cause green tinting. I have to watch out for that. :) But seriously, it sounds like the green does not work for you as well.
Thanks again for the comments, and have a great day!

I love the green light on the building, but the reflection is a distraction...
Could likely fix it with a bit of work in an editor... But a reshoot might be easier...

Nice picture, I like the green, it's unusual.
I wonder if the buildings aren't leaning a bit though, maybe you could try rotating the picture just a little bit clock-wise?
