Nice colors! I like the brown sky and the red-yellow traces from the passing cars.

I'm asking because I'm going to NYC in a few weeks (1st time with the 10d) and would like to experiment with shots like this.

Very nice picture indeed! converging verticals are the only very slight niggle.

Most definetly not handheld. Likely a 10sec + exposure with a very high F stop (small aperture). The star effect on the street lamps show that the aperture was small.

I really like this shot - the streaming car lights are great. What were the settings when you snapped this?

Only suggestion, and not sure anything could have been done about it, but the center building is a tad darker than the others - I know, perspective and all, but may be able to lighten a little with some careful post-processing.

This is with the Rebel Kit lens.

Under TV mode - 8 sec. exposure with a tripod.

At the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge :-)

Night shots are fun but you have to keep experimenting with the exposure time to get the effect you want.
