Hi!

I just want to know how much time you need to copy a 128MB CF card on your x-drive?

In my case it takes ~6 minutes to transfer from CF to x-drive. Thats about 355kB/sec.
I can't imagine that this is the fault of the HDD, I do not know the specs. but, that would be damn to slow for a PC!
Its a normal 128MB PQI CF card, and the HDD of the x-drive is an 6GB about 2 year old fujitsu.

whats the time you need?

thanks

best regards
Peterr

That does seem a bit slow. My X-drive is no speed demon either, but I can usually copy a 512Mb CF card in about 9 or 10 minutes.

I agree that sounds pretty slow,. but I have the X-drive2...? Is there a speed difference?

I noticed HUGE speed differences in my X-drive II between a Toshiba 6GB and a Toshiba 20Gb HD. The 20Gb drive work as expected (5min for a 265Mb CF) but the 6Gb one was more than twice slower (13min for the same card).
Which disk are you using ?

Mine takes about 15min for a 512MB 45x Transcend card.
X-Drive is equipped with a Hitachi 6GB at least two years old.

mine is a fujitsu 6GB. the exact name is MHM2060AT. Here are the key features and specs.

I think the probelm is the CF card...

Capacity 6 GB
Spindle Speed 4200 rpm
Package Qty. 1
Buffer Size 2 MB
Data Transfer Rate 66.6 MBps
Seek Time 12 ms

While we're on the subject is the x drive II better than image tank? If so, a couple of reasons would be appreciated.
