I've been looking at the Bogen/Manfrotto FlexHead 3423 or 3423C for my Monopod.
Has anyone used one and what were your thoughts?
I'm curious as to how stiff it is and if a D30 with BG-ED3 might be to heavy for it.
There are two models listed at B&H
3423-C @ $16
2423 @ $11
Any feedback will be appreciated.

Jim,

I went with a 3229 as I was afraid the flex-heads wouldn't be stiff enough to handle the weight of bigger L glass...

I've been pretty happy with the 3229 but will also be interested to hear from people with flex-head experience!

Cecil,
thanks for the info. I see B&H has it for $26. I'll check it out further.

I find it ending up bent, even when the camera is off. After a while, it will look like it needs a little viagra! haha. Go with a quick-release ball head. Works well, and 90 degree shots aren't to hard.
