Pekka, have you considered hosting? I for one, don't believe I can use EE on the webspace provided by my ISP, but would be interested in knowing where to buy server space. Depending on the cost, I would prefer to use this type of a setup over the other options available.

I have now (half) a server where I have about 45 domains left to install, but honestly I'm now too stressed and busy to start worrying about unix troubleshooting etc.
I have though to build a big collective exhibition of all-star best shots, though!
Exhibit engine itself does not take much space and power - you can set all big images come from any (free) server which reduces main server load a lot. Of course in virtual hosting environments CPU power and RAM is divided between many sites (200 per unit) which means if there's one very popular and active content site it can 'kill' other sites easily. This is exactly why I rented a dedicated server from http://www.rackshack.net
http://www.hostsearch.com/search_main.asp has a nice search engine for server features.

Try the web hosting service I use. They support PHP/MySQL, they have great reliability, and they have very reasonable prices in my opinion. See: http://donahue.kangaweb.com/kangaweb/kangaweb.html
(Note: I don't have my own domain name, but they easily support that if you do.)
