Ok so for work i take pictures of product "Vitamins" for our website. Now the actual image size for our site is only 200 pixels by anything, depending on the product. The biggest size is always 200 pixels. But i also shoot higer res images for flyers/newspaper ad's and so on, image is usually 6" or so @ 150DPI

Now our camera at work broke so my boss told me to give him 3 options at 3 diff price ranges. So what would be the best options for this. Im going to give him 2 different point and shoot options, and one SLR. Say the lowest range should be 200ish and the higest 800ish, i plan on buying it off ebay and will consider used so consider that with the price. Thanks for any help.:)

Even a good used 10d would serve you well or images of this size. However, I always recommend that you look towards the future if you can. Are these images going to be used for anything else beyond what you have already stated or know.

Given the pricing right now I would go with a 20D. There is some great deals to be had on ebay. If you can wait a couple of months for PMA, there will probably be new bodies announced which will probably float more or the existing equipment onto ebay as people prepare to upgrade.

Sell em your XT and pick yourself up a XTi or a 30D.

Just a thought!

Well...how about we start with Canon's different camera series-es?

-5D
-30D
-400D

I'd say those would be pretty good options, all very capable cameras.

You can easily pick up a used 300D for ~$350. Best bang for buck IMHO.
