B&W for me. Not sure about the amount of noise though. His face blends into the background.

Of these two, I like the B&W. But I really like the other versions I've seen posted elsewhere better.

I really like this idea, I think all it needs is a little tweaking though. For the b/w I suggest you bring back some contrast with levels in a selection (only for the violin) and if possible minimize the grain a bit on the whole picture.
