This sure as heck wasnt my intention when creating the "can we stop talkinga bout L lens" thread in the EOS forum. But i've been wanting this forum for a long time.
Thanks peka and whoever suggested it (sorry)

Okay, Timmy. Where do you suggest we go to talk about L lenses now? Or would you simply rather we didn't bring the subject up?
Now we're stuck out here in purgatory, and nobody knows we’re here.

Well hell, now that we are here, we may as well open a bottle or something. Purgatory will pass quicker with a little refreshments! heh

There sure isn't much going on here now. Maybe drinking is the answer.
I'm really not sure what we're supposed to do with this board. It seems we have hardware covered in their respective boards, and post-processing has its own niche. Then, there's 'Talk about photography.' Finally, there's the critique group and the share photos board. So what do we do with this one? Sports? Politics?
I'm guessing the thought was to get some of the people out of the EOS board who were initiating and posting to threads that didn't really apply to SLRs specifically. Looking through there now, though, there still are some that don't appear to belong. It's also interesting to note that most of the threads that were moved to other boards just died.
The timing of the changes is a little unfortunate. They come on the heels of someone's rant about L lens discussions and other reoccurring threads that he found irrelevant. We’re told that there’s no connection, and I believe it because I trust the people telling us that. Still, someone’s probably gloating right now believing that he is responsible for changes to this forum that I see as unfortunate.
If those of us who like to have a little fun are being relegated to a meaningless board that nobody reads because our posts don’t relate directly to digital SLRs, then that’s an unfortunate development.

C'mon, it's not so strict and serious. There is no need to invent any topic that suits this forum. This forum (a.k.a board) is good for posts like "found a good deal on neck straps" or " how to find good shoes for nature photography" or "my gerbil ate my bag" which can not possibly be linked even with good will to existing forums.
This is here because there has to be one place for topics that can not fit elsewhere. Very simple.
Keep having fun in EOS forum - check out the threads like "Mu boss will kill me" or "Lord of All L Lenses" - they are not moved here because of the fun aspect.

Well, Timmy, *I* realize that you're not self-centered. You are definitely off-center. Pretty far off. Warped, even.

ROFLMAO
But then we'd need a Sticky about Gitzo. And then all the Donkey-Huggers would Google us and come over and get REALLY upset about all the Donkey Harrassment.
THEN the Mule Haters would come by, teasing the Donkey Huggers about 3-Legged folk heroes, and there'd be no camera talk at all.
Man, I *do* have to get out more.

I believe this has been covered in the FAQ's under "Weird Donkey Stuff" and on page 364 of the LowePro New Ass Harness manual. Now who has not read their manual :?:
If the truth be knowm, he had a bad habit of biting his toenails and just didn't stop. As I once remarked to Thos," We must be thankful he wasn't licking his @#**%."
