Damn, sunday I ruined my old tripod (crappy anyway) so I needed to get a new one - fast!

Lucky me - the local dealer turned out to be the Danish importer of Bogen/Manfrotto tripods, so I got myself a nice Manfrotto 055SSB/Bogen 3221WN with a Bogen 3030 pan/tilt head... nice... its more than twice as stable as my old stuff, and for once the dealer actually had what I wanted at a good price.

Johnny, we gotta know - how does one "ruin" a tripod?

hehe, one probably doesn't. Now that I come to think about it I should have used the word broken instead.

The lever for adjusting the center column (or whatever its called!) simply broke off while almost fully extracted :-( Being a crappy tripod I can't get spare parts for it - but who cares? It was a welcome excuse for me to buy a new one... and the Bogen 3221 is so much nicer :-)

Oh, and my wife almost didn't object now that the old tripod was broken.
