Here's mine. It's my favourite because it's the only one i've taken. Slighlty abstract, it's the top of a bridge at a local park.

I took the same pic. While walking back to my car after the photoshoot, I was surrounded by Palisade Interstate Police. They confiscated my camera & questioned why I was taking pictures of the GWB. Long story short, I was let go after I cleared the background check w/ the Feds. I got my camera back, but I never posted the shot.

I really like bridges, appologies as some of these have been posted before:-

The worlds tallest bridge, The Viaduct at Millau spanning the Gorges Du Tarn. This was taken a few days after it opened in some very poor light, not a great picture but a great experience.

And another of the Forth BRIDGES! ;)

Perhaps we UK-ites ought to explain that the Forth Rail Bridge is so popular for photography as it's simply one of the greatest engineering feats ever. The entire thing is plate and rivets, and features NONE of the more modern structural techniques and is a huge testament to the shear vision of it's designer. Just such a 'massive' idea, beyond what anyone could normally come up with, and executed with shear genius. It's to be seen to be believed.

I also desperately want to photograph the Milau Bridge in France.

Anyway...

What's with the clothes hanger?

The bridge is nicknamed "The coathanger" because of the arch based design. The picture was taken during NYE 2007 when the bridge turned 75 years old.

Sometimes a bridge holds sentimental value like this one. My early memories of this bridge date back nearly 50 years. It is the "swinging bridge" over the Kootenai River in Western Montana just below Kootenai Falls. Families used to picnic there and let the kids run wild. This bridge is supported by cables so with a little teamwork, we could get it swinging. My wife still has memories of those days and won't cross it.

I welcome comments. Thanks for looking.

It's difficult to get any new angles on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but here are a couple I took recently which at least aren't the "standard" view.

And the poor Manhattan Bridge in NYC doesn't get much love as it's sat next to the much more photogenic Brooklyn Bridge, so here's one I took last night.
