I have this breakfast nook area in my home that has four windows surrounding it in a half octagon sort of design. With the white blinds closed the lighting is very nice in there.

My question is I am not so sure if the catch lights in the eyes would be acceptable, to me they look too big and spread out.

This photo is a bit soft on focus, I took it at the spur of the moment handheld.

Any thoughts on the catch lights?

I agree. I would PhotoShop out a couple or three of them.

Yeah take out a few catch lights in PS.

She looks a lot like a younger me. It's eerie.

OK, I agree as well. So how could one eliminate such large spread out catch lights?

I agreee...the catchlights are a bit too much. It could be easily fixed in PS by cloning them out a bit.

I was thinking more on how to eliminate them before I take a photo, I want to use this spot for family photos and would rather not be photoshoping every image.

How about using the window light as a side light rather than head one and then using flash (either on or off camera) or reflector for fill light. In this manner you would end up with only one catchlight, but still be able to use the beautifil directional light you can get from windows.
