Linearsharpen for D60

Whatever happened to the Linearsharpen D60 beta. I Goggled Linearsharpen and found a discussion about it, but when I tried to download the link didn't work. Also, is Linearsharpen still a valuable action in Photoshop CS, or are there new ways to reach the same objecitve? :?
