I started using RAW recently and thought that since i have not been filling my 1 gig card before i come home, i would embed a large Jpeg. I thought this would get me the best of both worlds. Instant Jpeg and a RAW to play with as digital 'negative'. I am using photoshop CS and it will see the RAW files. I don't know how to get the JPEG out, however. Any help? thanks

Have you tried using Canon's File Viewer Utility?

The .THM file is really a JPEG. Just rename it. It's only 160x120.

To extract the embedded jpeg.. (a full size file,. not the tiny .THM) you need to use either the Canon file veiwer utility or Breezebrowser. (I don't think anything else can do it)
