Took these at the park down the street today. It was completely overcast while I was there. C&C away, I have thick skin!

Thick skin? Good, I'll whack you upside the head! Not really, but consider this. In 1, it looks like you were standing and shooting. Look for other angles. Get down on the ground, shoot up, etc. Also, watch your background. If you had moved only a few inches to the left, you could have positioned the top of the fountain between the two trees instead of on top of the one larger one. Or utilized a different aperture to de-emphasize the background altogether.

I like the DOF you employed in 4. Overcast days produce dreary grayish skys that appear blown out but are not. Are you any good in photoshop? With adjustment layers, you could work more detail back into the water, add a little blue to the sky, etc. Definitely keep shooting. Practice makes perfect. /Dan

I have used photoshop for years with graphics for my web design but it was usually editing computer generated graphics. Photo editing is something entirely different and actually requires some precision. Im practicing but im still a true beginner with it.
