travelling 10000km to the 07 tattoo, with my Canon 350D. Any tips or tricks to make the photo exercise worthwhile, would be most helpful.

It's a show put on by all branches of the military. I went to the Cardiff tattoo a few years ago. I'll be at the Edinborough tattoo also. I'll have to check if there's a lens length limitation. If there is then an S1/2/3 IS compact would probably work. It's held at night under floodlighting so light should not be a major problem.
