Portable studio setup?

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for portable studio setup for portraits, glamour, etc. I'm a newbie but interested in takings pictures of children, maternity, and some glamour. What I'm unsure of is lighting and other studio necessities I would need if I was taking my equipment to someone's house or to setup in my home since I don't have the space for a home studio. What types of lights would you recommend? Backdrops? Reflectors? Any website suggestions? My camera is a Canon Rebel XTi and I have the kit lens and a 50mm 1.4. My only flash is the 430ex.

I don't have the space for a home studio. Got a garage? What makes you expect that there will be any more room in someone else's home? ;)
You're going to need at least 2 flash heads, & you should look in the "Lighting" Stickys for some good info.
