She came in to do some lingerie pics. We started off with these shots, then went on to the lingerie. We ended up taking some topless pics, but I'll leave those for the Glamour and nude (whenever i can post there)

While I agree, why not give some critique rather than just nit-pick?

I'm not an expert on posing, so I can't really help there, but as for lighting, are you only using one light coming from the right? You're going to need at least one more light-source positioned nearer the left to get some of the detail with her hair and blouse. Also, with only one light, you've got an extreme nose-shadow across the face.

Re-position those lights and consider diffusing it! Perhaps get someone in there with a reflector disc or two on the left.

As for the angle... I'm not sure what to suggest other than get off that ladder!;)

Also, were you going to Photoshop the backdrop to get rid of those huge creases and the shadow?

On a positive note, you've got a lovely model and I definately like the fact you've chosen to go with black and white! If I had to pick, I'd say the first is my favourite of the three. :)

Light is to hard. Wrong lens used (24mm), next time use sometihng longer (>50mm) and you will see progres. Background is not interesting for full body shoot.

not really nit picking
Just not enough on offer to work with.

I would suggest trying again and try to take 100 or more pictures all different in an hour.

Take a close look at them alland think why you dont like most of them.
And what it is about the better ones you do like.
then try again.
Learning is all about making mistakes and learning from them.

The pictures show that you were not comfortable and a bit out of your depth. the more you do the more comfortable you will get.

Then compare what are your best shots with those of other people.
and think and learn from that.

I am not a model photographer so I cannot comment technically. I can only reveal what I like or don't like. That being said, I will have to agree the lighting is too harsh. But the thing I like the least is the pose. I remember reading an interview years ago with a Playboy photographer. Summarizing, he said that his job was to analyze his models, shoot to emphasize their best attributes and deemphasize those that are not.

Your model is a very pretty young lady, but in the pose where her hand is on her hip, but the other hand not on her thigh (B&W), you posed her in such a way that it makes her look like she has a big fanny when she may not, and where she looks like she has a bulging tummy when she may not. And the color shot with hand on hip and thigh looks even larger in the hips/fanny area because the hand on the thigh now covers the white background making the entire area from her fanny to her front look even broader. She has absolutely great legs and the fishnets add an additional element of sexual tension, but her legs seem to be deemphasized and posed at an awkward angle. /Dan
