I know this has been asked before but want to get the latest news possible.
Are the aftermarket battaries ok for my 10D. If they are which ones do you recomend and where do you get them?

I figured by now if there was a problem with them you guys would know about them.

Thanks Denny

I bought this Lithium-ion replacement and it seems perfectly fine:

$27.95

Green Batteries even sent me a free mini tripod and CF Card pouch with my order. They were real fast shipping too (you have to mention the free mini tripod when ordering).

If you are in the UK, I can offer you some suggestions, if in the US, B&H will work. Failing that, there is some looking around to do. I have a Hahnel HL-511 (1.3Ah) and a Canon BP511 (1.1Ah) that I use side by side and almost 3100 pics on no problems so far!

3rd party batteries should be fine, as long as you don't go too cheap.

If the price falls below about $10, I'd be leery of the safety of the cell.

Do a google search for 'exploding nokia cell phones' to see what the dangers may be in getting a defective Li-Ion cell.
