Hi everyone,

I recently went to a small rock show, at a local School of Rock and got over 300 photos (only 40 are usable, I used an MF lens for fun) The ex-owner (who still partially runs the place) was interested in getting some of my shots. She told me to email them.

*I do not consider myself that good, this was my very first time doing photography at an Event/Rock Show/Performing Art*

Anyway, I'm planning to email some downsized samples for her, but she also implied that she would be interested in me doing some photography for other shows.

This is my VERY first time getting paid for photography, and I have no idea what to do. Should I charge by photo? Per hour? Or both?

-If I charge by photo, what if she doesn't want any photos?
-If I charge by hour, she'll get all the photos?
-If I charge by both, would that be too much to charge?

The shows are 2 hours long, last time I got ~300 shots, and I plan to get more when I get a bigger CF card.

I would say by the hour (just to ensure that she doesn't get you out there, then not purchase any photos), then additional costs for the photos she decides to purchase. :)
