Candid shot of my daughter in her first snow outing. Her little brother hit her in the face with a little snow ball. I took this pic in RAW and it was totally underexposed. I think I was able to recover it. If need be I can post up the original but the pic is cute I think. I am not happy with the orientation. I would have preferred a portrait landscape but oh well. There is too much space at the top. Maybe I will crop it later.

I think you definitely was able to fix the shot, because it look A-OK to me!

great capture! i love her expression and my-o-my what a SMALL snowball indeed!

Good save, but I like the original crop better, you have cut out that nice pink light coming across the snow!

So what happened anyway, was there no time to dial in the settings?

I was shooting on manual and had exposed for a brighter area. My daughter went to a more shaded area and I didn't have the chance to adjust my settings. Luckily I was shooting in RAW.
