I bought a flickr account about 4 months ago, and was overjoyed to actually be able to do something with my photos. It's really cool to have some sort of use for your decent photographs.
Anyways, I was just wondering what people thought after skimming through my pics. Should I try to get more of a certain kind (i.e. portraits, landscape, etc.)? Or maybe make some sets? I dunno. It's hard to look at your own pictures subjectively.
The link is in my Sig;

Just keep shooting and create different sets as you go as needed. I noticed that you've some macro shots, and it's time to create the set, "Macro"? I don't like to shoot just to have some variety of photographic styles.

Another thing: with my flickr I always thought it better that if I had two photos on the same subject, I should simply submit one of them as the repition might dilute the portfolio a bit (if you can call it that ;)). MIght it be better if I submit every decent photo I get so that people can decide the best, or just my personally preferred ones?

I've thought about the same subject, and I think it boils down to who your audiences are. I set to "private" those photos that are uploaded more for my family, relatives, and friends, and "public" for those photos that I want to show off (not that I have much to show off). For "public" photos, I'd like only to have the best sample or two on the same subject. But then if I feel I have several shots of the same subject that just came out great, then I'd show more than one or two. After all, people are quite choosy in what they want to view and totally ignore the rest, anyway.

Agreed. Organise your page thematically to showcase your work. This would make viewing much easier and (possibly) interesting.

You have quite a few photos along the water theme! I like your macro work, quite interesting and creative.
