Now that I have my XTI i was looking at getting a few lens and filters. Any help would be great. Im looking at taking pics of wildlife "like birds" and closeup pics of not wildlife. LOL

A budget would help, but there are several real nice Canon lenses.
70-200 f4 for about $500 or so.
70-300 USM IS for abou the same. Much better reach and great image quality.
and the one I'm saving for, the 100-400L. Probably the best one for wildlife.
There are a few other worth concidering like the Siggy 80-400 for about a grand, the Sigma 50-500 (Bigma)m the Tammy 200-500 and the Tokina 80-400. I've been looking at the Tokina but don't know anyone who has actually use one. It is the smallest and lightest of the bunch and very reasonable prices at about $650.

For the close up pictures, I would get the 50mm @ f1.8. It's only $70! I just got mine, and it's great. You could even get a longer lens for your wildlife shots since the 50mm is so cheap.

I just bought the 50mm @ f1.8 off ebay for 20.00 with shipping. Im keeping a eye out for other filters also.
