Hi, PhotoMonger. Welcome to the forums. I'd expect to see a brighter rose with a 4-second exposure.

Yeah the light was really poor. I could have gone with a larger depth of field on the first one too.

Nice first submission! welcome to POTN. :D :D

Try to get closer to the maximum of 800 pixels on the long side for your submission size. These are almost to small.

I like the crop on the white flower, the one thing that I would like to know is how you post the 2 pictures side by side (trying to learn here)

There is no crop on either picture, they are as is with no mods. As for posting two pictures I just uploaded them at the same time, maybe it's because of their small size, don't know?
