New error message in "Upload to database" section

When I am logged in and go to the "Upload to database" I get the following error message (since this afternoon!) which is shown above the admin section on the screen:

"Warning: fopen(UPLOAD/staircase.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/www/webxxx/html/gallery/input/EDITOR_upload.php on line 555
Warning: fstat(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/www/webxxx/html/gallery/input/EDITOR_upload.php on line 556
Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/www/webxxx/html/gallery/input/EDITOR_upload.php on line 563"

Any idea what I did wrong? :(

Wrong permissions on upload folder etc.
Set 777 permissions on all following:

GALLERY/temp
GALLERY/export
GALLERY/input/temp
GALLERY/input/UPLOAD
GALLERY/input/UPLOAD/test
GALLERY/input/UPLOAD/ee_temp_upload
GALLERY/input/backup/ee_backup_files
