View Full Version : slide show application?

Breezebrowser has a good slide show feature, but (as far as I can tell) you can't choose the order to view images, and you can't save your choice of images as a slideshow.

Irfanview lets you do this, but has the disadvantage that you can't move backwards and view a previous image.

There are many slideshow applications. Can anyone recommend one that's good (will do the things above) and inexpensive? I don't want the fancy dissolves and all that stuff, just the basic functionality to construct a slideshow and save it so it can be quickly viewed. Any recommendations gratefully received.

I use acdsee (assuming you're using a pc) it has both slide show capeabilities, and can read .raw image files.
roxio ez cd creator also has a slideshow function that can burn a whole slideshow to a cd that will play on its own on computers without the program.

BreezeBrowser can also generate a slideshow using the HTML generator, which you could then fiddle with to get the order you want...

OK, I've now got it sorted. Irfanview DOES let you navigate a slideshow backwards and forwards (right and left mouse button).

It also has command-line arguments so that you can write a one-line .bat file which you double-click in Windows Explorer and it starts the slideshow immediately. Very nice. Thank you, Irfan.
