It's nice to see a shot from the track and field catagory. It's a very crisp shot. I'd have used a wider aperture, though, to blur out the background distraction....

i agree with sys...maybe a lower angle would have helped.

Nice try. Just a little bit further into the jump would have made it perfect, but it is what it is. I don't find the background too busy, but that is just me. Keep at it.... track and field can yield some of the best images. Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback. This was taken back in April. I had my camera for a week when I shot this. Shot full automatic for the first few months. Indoor low-light situations made me start exporing some of the manual features. Now 8 months later I still feel like a newbie with all the different options to shoot the same subject. Found this board a few days ago and loved it! Thanks again for the feedback:D
