Pics for his 1st birthday

His mom (my sil) wanted some pictures to celebrate his 1st birthday. He brought along his friend as well. These were taken in the living room, with available light plus 580ex bounced off ceiling. Looking for C&C so that I can improve. Thanks!

Looks like this kid really digs the photo shoot. You may want to have more distance between subject and bg to avoid harsh shadows, but overall I think they are great.

Very cute, he looks like he was very cooperative. My favorites are number 2 & 4. I don't care for the background in #5, but the shot of him is good. I agree about moving away from the background to avoid the harsh shadows, but otherwise they look good.

He was in a pretty good mood, biggest challenge was getting him to stay put. His friend on the other hand, wasn't in the mood for pictures. This was the closest thing I could get to a smile out of her. I agree about getting futher from the back drop, but unfortunately, I was limited by the size of the back drops (a bedsheet and blanket draped from a TV :D), there just wasn't a alot of back drop on the floor.
