Link to existing thread- how to?

Anyone know how to post a message one forum and include a link to another post in another forum?

Do you want to get a link to another post, or another thread?

For a thread, the easiest way is to go to the Forum's main page which lists all the thread titles. Right-click on a title, and choose "Copy Link Location" (FireFox) or "Copy Shortcut" (Internet Explorer).

To get the link to a particular post within a thread, scroll to the post and look in the top right-hand corner of the port. You will see a number - for your post it says "#1" and for my post it says "#2." Right-click on that number, and follow above...

After you've got the link copied to your clipboard you can then go to you new thread/post and just press Shift-Insert or Control-V, either of which (or maybe one not the other) will paste the link you copied.
