I am going for the Epson P-3000, since 40Gb is more than enough for storing images on the spot. I have a few questions, for those who own the 2000/3000/5000 series:

- How long does one fully charged battery last during transfer from CF to memory?...

- Are there any Epson or third party accessories that would allow it to be plugged to the Car Adapter, or even the 110V wall?...

- How fast is the data transfer rate? Can you dump say 4gb of photos or more before the thing runs out of battery?...

I am ready to order, as I have not seen another device remotely as good as the Epson. These questions have more to do with expansion and durability, rather than its quality.

Any comments and help are always appreciated !!!

Cheers,

if you do a search, Dante King, who just sold his, or is trying to sell it, did an excellent review of it.

The P 2000 is slow and you need at least 2 batteries unless you will be near power for your downloads. If you are going to download your day's shooting in your motel room at night it's great.

Dante- Sounds like a real step forward from the P-2000.

I have been interested on a device that could play mp3, as well as Mpeg for Elaborate samplers that I can take out to prospective clients (without having to be tied to their PC or internet connection to my website). And obviously I have always wanted a dumping device, so that in low memory situations I could empty CF cards, and be able to continue shooting without worries.

It seems that today, the P-3000 is all those devices in one. And from your review (Dante's), seems like a great little gadget to have.

Anyone know of Car Adapter for this series?...

Thanks much for the comments.

I just googled accessories for the P-2000, and I found this:

http://www.boxwave.com/products/versachargerpro/index.htm

Do you think it would work with the P-3000 ?
