Looking at images on CS2, If you right click and view actual pixals, the image still looks pretty good, but doesnt represent its actual printing size (its much bigger). How would you therefore calculate what would the the largest possible size you could print maintaining decent quality without viewing pixalization?

Many thanks in advance

image/image size this will let you know the size by number for a given ppi (such as 300ppi)

I have read that for poster size view at a reasonable distance 180ppi is usable, but if you plan to use a lab then check with that lab what is the minimumm ppi for a given size and if they upres via software the file to make large prints.

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for my delay.

What is " actual pixels" in PS CS2?

Its shows a pretty large picture, and tends to border on whats acceptable to print, but I cant seem to find what size it would represent.

For example using crude measuring methods, with an image taken with a 5D, viewing "actual pixels" I estimated that if printed at that size it would be approx 5ft X 4ft with good detail and no pixelization.

Is there a way of either calculating or viewing the maximum size that an image could be printed using PS CS2?

Many thanks

I do 14 x 20 all the time. Much larger and most people don't have adequate wall space
