Hello,

I am representing a photographer as an agent in the UK. Would anyone be able to tell me how to invoice a client, or better still let me see an example of an invoice?

I think the invoice should also include Terms and Conditions, copyright details etc, as well as the usual details like date, invoice number etc. but I'm not sure how these should be included.

If someone would advise me on the standard way a photographer's agent bills a client in the UK, or post a sample, I'd be very grateful!

Thankyou.

You need to go talk to a professional photog and see if he can help you.

Creative people being "creative", I'm not sure that there is a "standard way "?

How can be someones agent when you dont know the basics?

I agree with Neil R, something is wrong here

Hello, thanks for the comments, I have spoken to a friend who is a UK photographer and she's been able to give me some answers.

No, there is nothing funny though I see why you may have thought so - I am representing another friend temporarily who normally works in France. He obviously knows the French way of doing things but I needed some guidance in how to do it in the UK. It's only a temporary set-up.

Thanks again.

Hmm. Nothing new there. It's hard graft. My dad used to work part-time as an agent for an opera singer. It was just boring, laborious work writing to venues to try to get free/low cost use of the venue and grants from various bodies to pay for everything.
