Taken this morning in snow which fell last night.

I'm happy with the image but would like to know how others feel about it.

Shot in jpg, I've cropped the bottom, top and right side slightly and added a little sharpning, converted to greyscale in PS.

I love this picture. The love and trust in that dog's face is palpable. The contrast between the dog and the white background play to the eye very well.

It’s hard to find fault with a great picture of a great dog.

Jealous. Jealous. Jealous.

Jealous

Thanks Belmondo - its a friends dog who I often walk with when I'm out with my own two. I think they are also going to be happy with the result.

What he does is he finds a stick and drops it, then runs further down the path and lies down to wait for you to pick up the stick to throw it for him.

Cheers

Great shot,,, its probably just me but I prefer to see portrates centered.. I feel distracted by the larger space on the left..Nice pose.,color and contrast..

Great picture. If I had a very bad day, I'd say that the stuff (grass?) in the top right corner bothers me... 8)

Nicely done - I like the B&W - only comment is that the space on the left side is a little distracting, only because compared to the right side it appears a little blown out - too white.

If the grass in the top right were also on the left it might balance it a little better - just a suggestion from a true newbie to digital photos.

Thanks guys,
The reason for the space at left was simply I felt that the head was slightly to the left and I wanted to give more room and make the pic "righthand heavy".

Unfortunately, the grass at the right side was a bankside and the space on the left was the path - I agree it would have weighted the pic better had there been grass on the right instead of the left.

I won't be able to reply for two weeks if anyone responds to this as I'm on holiday for two weeks starting tomorrow. Look forward to catching up with you all on my return.

Regards
David
