Well I finally started shooting hockey, after checking out everyone elses hockey pics on here for pointers. I started off shooting at the usuall small time rinks with terrible lighting for some practice. Then I got this gig with the league I play for (NCHL) it was the allstar events. Unfortunately I didn't make the allstar cut....lol But I did make the official photographer! Best of all it was at the Saddledome, you know where the Calgary Flames play? haha So seeing how it is an NHL arena, the lighting was second to none. Best lens I have for this right now is the 85mm f1.8. During the skills competition I was able to stand right on the ice wherever I wanted so that was awesome. And for a couple of the games I was standing between the players benches where the pros get to hang out. There is no glass in front of you there either  Anyway the first day I didn't quite get the exposures right, the ice is blown out way to much. C&C feel free...
