Hey I bought one of those 3245's like you guys suggested. The problem I'm having is that the screw in part on top of the stick doesn't fit into the bottem of my camera. It's too big. Do I have to buy some kind of adapter or ball head attachment or something to make it work?

Thanks.

Yes! You need a ball head for it.

It should have a dual thread 3/8 and 1/4. The 3/8" thread will push down and allow the 1/4" to mount to your camera/lens...

A monopod without a head is difficult to use. I use this one:

As mentioned by GenEOS, the thread will fit your camera without any adaptor. Just try it.

I use the same head as listed above on my Monopod,. it should be noted that it ONLY TILTS ... no idea why it says "swivle" what ever that means.

As GenEOS says,. mine had a dual thread... I actually tokk mine apart and removed the spring that pushes uo the outer fatter threads,.. it was just a hassle...

I am soon going to be selling my tilt head.. want it?

My Bogen monopod is getting harder and harder to extend with the grip. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? I almost think it's somehow become slightly bent...

You gotta stop smacking people with it.

There have been times where I needed the tilt head on my monopod, but few. Most the time you can lean within the range you need. An airshow or shooting anything high or low from an elevated position is where you need the tilt head.

Now, quickrelease.....that would be very very useful.

For what I shoot, I am quite happy with a monopod without a tilt head, it all depends on what you shoot.

GenEOS, Hi,

At last someone from the US who also believes that any sort of head on a monopod is a waste of time - except in very particular circumstances, which I have never personally encountered thus far.
