Quantaray 600-1000mm lens: how is it?

I'm thinking about buying a super-telephoto lens, and I came across this Quantaray, and another one that is 500-1000mm. Anyone have comments on these lenses?

If I'm not mistaken, the 500-1000 might really be a 500mm "cat" lens with a 2x converter to also give you the 1000mm. Personally, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole but that's just me. It may be right for what you want to do with it. You'll have to judge that for yourself.

Ya get what ya pay for. I'm sure it has CA up the wazoo. Use your money for a real lens.

Yes,. they are paper towel rolls with glass ashtrays stuffed in them!

There are lots of problems with these lienses including the tiny aperture... but they aren't exactly quality lenses.. needless to say they aren't autofocus either..
