Why not simply use a drop of lens cleaning fluid on a len cleaning tissue?

I once read never to use any fluid on your lens, but I was talking about the view finder. I mean how bad can a eye glass cleaner towl be ?

The RIGHT way to use any lens cleaning fluid it to moisten the TISSUE, then wipe the optical surface with it. Simply putting a drop of liquid on the eyepiece is highly risky of seeping into the pentaprism housing.
Eyeglasses are generally not coated like lenses and eyepieces of optical instruments (although some glasses do have coatings!) So eyeglasses are not subject to the same damage as coated optics are. Eyeglass cleaning tissues might be a bit more abrasive than would be ideal.
I am not familiar with pek paks, but I have read about how some things like sensor cleaners often leave lots of streaks on optically coated surfaces.
