Ok I dug this out of the archives and reworked it 2 ways.

Normal full color and Selective.
Which one do you think works best?

That looks good except for the stem, it looks as if it has a halo and is distracting some what. Try using a smaller brush size to get rid of it.

Cloned and healed it out.
Also darkened the BG a tad.
This better?

Perhaps you misunderstood me. Having the stem looks natural to the image but it needs to be fine tuned to have more shape and be more consistant to the image.
Can I edit and post a different version?

Go for it!
Here is a bigger version to play with.
(I kinda figured the stem was a complete distraction?)

Select a stem from another part of the image, one that has a little more shape. then over lay that stem and use a small brush to mask out the parts you do not want.

When post processing images working in layers is the only way to go. You can do so much more to an image using adjustment layers as well as object layers. Try your hand at layers you will catch on quickly.
