I hear it comes complete with a "Make Art" button, and the frame is made from ultra-rare and expensive "unobtainium".

Geez is that thing tall.

But it really makes you think, what will cameras look like in 2020?

Nah, the lcd screen is to small, and no pop up flash. I'm waiting for the next model:)

It needs a PDA and a mobile phone built in - without those it's a piece of crap!

Why two shutter release buttons

goforphoto

One button automaticly brackets exposure on the fly;) Just one shutter release and 3 shots, no need to go to custom functions to set it up.

Here is my version of the new 1D model. Notice any changes in the body? Probably not , because most of the major changes are going to be in camera. As opposed to the design

for the size of it, that lump on the bottom could house 2 batteries. Maybe that's why two shutter buttons? One for each battery!

Tht's funny but the new replacement name of the 30D may not be the 40D if it gets 12MP APS-C censor which it might. Maybe 45D or 50D !

I mean they did try, its an OK photoshop job although the red ring on the L is completely crap. Still I prefer the ultra camera Pekka did a few years back that makes regular resurgences here.

I'm also curious about the twin shutter-release buttons...I mean, PS'd or not, what's the possible point?

Ergonomics when held in portrait mode. I could be wrong, but I don't think that part is Photoshopped.

Eehhm, Jeff, have another look at the image. I think Alnitak is referring to the two shutter-release buttons *side by side*, not the one for portrait orientation on the 'grip'....

well as long as they won't have an integrated iphone I'm not in.

Obviously it is so you can make an instantneous choice between two camera setting. You might have one programmed for One-Shot autofocus for stationery subjects and the other for AI-Servo in case your subject starts running, or you could have one set for large aperture, fast shutter speed and the other for small aperture slow shutter speed to allow you an instant choice of depth of field.

On the other hand, maybe their manual writers are finally figuring out how to explain the existing controls and they have to add something new that they can make confusing. "Push left shutter button with small index finger on right hand whereby omitting pressure on right shutter button in lieu of using large thumb on left hand for vertically reclined subjects."
