Just did my first bridal show..and I will be going back tomorrow...I learned ALOT...but had fun and made a few contacts also..AND I got a paid for booking..which was surprising...I was blessed.

My web site also has recieved 80 more hits just this afternoon.

The show was really good. I will probably do it again next year...and be more prepared..

What did you learn A LOT of, pray tell... as I'm considering doing a bridal fair sometime in the future too. Thanks.

Well, I learned that you have to stand on your feet, not to eat at the booth, nor smoke...you have to smile alot and care about any question that is askedyou, not to stand with your arms folded in front of you and to be prepared, with LOTS of papers, a computer that works (ours died and I had to use a friends)...

THEN there is the networking with other people...some good, some bad. But, i started to collect some cards that were thrown my way, and converse with other people...

I walked around and saw other booths..and took in even what other photographers had to offer and even made a friend or two. I hope!

Brides come in all shapes, sizes, colors and ages...some are beautiful, some are not as pretty. Some know what they want and most have no clue but find "this " fun.

Don't assume anything or anyone. Brides..can be anyone.

Come prepared with alot of things..One thing I did not do is combine all my papers and clip or staple together (we did this while we were there)...many people had little bags they gave away...we will do that next year..and BUBBLES>..brides LOVE BUBBLES..

ooooooo and I saw this..if I can describe it..it was three panels of wood, on hinges...used as a display..I liked that alot..and will make it for my next show...easy to set up and decorate, you don't have to worrk about what the expo gives you.

Bring plenty of examples..and a nice bowl of candy

OOOOOOOOOOOOo and the brides LOVED the free Engagement Photo session raffle...WOW..
