First, I need to soak my feet, and untie my tongue..WHAT a day.

no one read my 800 brides later post, so I thought i would try again..

The bridal show was awesome..I got a paid booking...and my webiste has now over 90 hits...

they say 800 brides today...I have no idea how many tomorrow

thanks for all the hints..they al helped...

I only offended one "best friend" by calling her the mom...I asked for our package back so she would not know who we were...we all laughed..they probably wont' use me, but at least I made it better...

How did you get the paid booking? How was that client/your sales pitch - different from the rest?

Personally and I am not bragging, I think she liked 'us" this is her second marriage, her first photographer came in a tux and (as she put it) farm boots...ripped her aisle runner right in front of her as she came down the aisle..

she had two questions...Do you make coffee table books, and can I book you now?

her daughter was so cute..she said "mom, look at her" she is nice...

SO seriously...She liked my work, but seemed to like me or us better. in a matter of a few moments I had the booking..we are meeting the end of Jan just to meet again and again one month before the wedding. She wants to meet with everyone face to face...we will take her to panera or a coffee house to meet and chat.

My hits keep coming on my web page..I have had to turn two weddings down in April due to a prior engagement, but other then that..I am looking for more to come of it.

Lisa, that's wonderful to hear that you got such an awesome feedback from the bridal convention. I need to check to see if there is one coming up in my area. I would love to go just to check out.

Btw, I saw your site and see that you offer coffee table album. Have you successful designed the asukabook yet? I've already lost my mind trying to do so in CS2.. :cry:

well..when I made my flyer I was looking at My publisher...since then, I joined this group and have been SO elevated and realize I cannot offer that to my clients...I am working on my 1st asuka now...It really has not been going that bad, however basic a book it will be. I also am looking at album design software to help...I think that is more the answer...for me at least.

I went to one of these shows this weekend with one of my friends that is getting married, a bride reconized me from a recent wedding I photographed, said she has been looking at my site, she asked me about her date which I knew I had open and she gave me a deposit right there. I was stoked!! I love bridal shows!
